Women's Ella Morris to depart the club
Southampton FC Women can confirm that Ella Morris will depart the club this summer to take the next step in her career.
With her current deal set to expire, and an offer of re-engagement unable to be agreed, Morris will leave the club after rising through the ranks over the last seven years.
She joined the club at 14-years-old and progressed on and off the pitch to become a key part of the club's journey to the Barclays Women’s Championship.
Since making her first team debut in the 2018/19 season, stepping up from the Under-16s, Morris recorded 117 appearances for the club and scored 14 goals in that time.
She was also named the 2019/20 Women’s Player of the Season and Player's Player of the Season after her first full campaign in the senior team.

Director of Women’s Football, Marieanne Spacey-Cale, explained: “whilst we are of course disappointed to lose Ella this summer, we wish her all the best in an exciting next step for her career.
“As a club we are proud to have played such a big part in her journey alongside our progression, and it’s been fantastic to watch her develop into a professional footballer and regular international in England’s youth age groups.”
Southampton Football Club would like to thank Ella for her efforts over the years and wish her all the best for the future.
