Rowe becomes Women's first summer signing
Southampton FC Women are delighted to announce the signing of Rachel Rowe, following her departure from Scottish Women's Premier League side Rangers.
The attacking midfielder has signed a pre-contract agreement, subject to international clearance, to become the first addition ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
The 31-year-old arrives with a wealth of experience for both club and country, having spent eight years at Reading before a spell with Rangers last season.
After playing for both Cardiff and Swansea in her youth, back in her native Wales, Rowe moved to England in 2015 to join Reading.
She achieved promotion from the then-named 'WSL 2' in her first season, before featuring regularly throughout a seven-year stay in England's top flight, scoring 18 goals for the Royals in that time.
Now a Welsh international with over 60 international caps, the versatile midfielder moved up to Scotland to spend last season with Rangers.
She won the PFA Scotland Player of the Year as Rangers did the Scottish Cup and League Cup double, and finished second in the SWPL on goal difference.

Upon signing for Saints, Rowe shared "it feels great, coming back down South after last season."
"It's such an ambitious club," she added, "and I'm hoping that it will be something really worthwhile in coming down and being a part of.
"I’d like to hope that I can use my experience and help with things both on the pitch and off the pitch.
"I see myself as a senior player but I’m not done learning and that’s what I’m excited for - what motivates me is the journey and being a part of this season."
Director of Women’s Football, Marieanne Spacey-Cale added: “We’re delighted to welcome Rachel to the club as our first signing of the summer, she's a player that will add real quality and experience to the group both on and off the pitch.
"She knows what it takes to play in the WSL, which is the level we're aspiring to reach, and we're looking forward to having her play a part in our journey."
