Southampton's younger Academy age groups enjoyed plenty of success over the weekend, competing in regional and national tournaments across the country.

Our Under-16s reached the semi-finals of the Premier League National Cup at Loughborough, finishing in the final four of the competition which consisted of twenty eight clubs.

In the group stage, Saints advanced unbeaten with a 4-1 win over Newcastle that was followed by draws against Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City as they advanced as group winners.

After a 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the quarter-finals, their impressive run ended at the hands of Fulham in the semi-final.

Elsewhere, our Under-10s won the Premier League Overload / Underload Tournament, going the full day unbeaten against Chelsea, Fulham and Brighton.
