WHAT KIT WILL SAINTS BE WEARING?

Saints will be back in their red and white striped home kit with black shorts and white socks.

WHAT’S AT STAKE?

Saints will be desperate to turn the tide having suffered four defeats on the bounce.

Back on home soil, Russell Martin's side will be taking on a Leeds side experiencing reverse fortunes.

After a winless first three games, Daniel Farke’s side have hit their stride and are now six unbeaten in the league, winning two of their last three by three goals to nil.

With four clean sheets on the bounce, something is going to have to give at St Mary’s if the hosts are to put a halt to their disappointing recent form.

TEAM NEWS

Saints will still be without captain Jack Stephens and summer signing Ross Stewart for the visit of Leeds, although Russell Martin isn't thought to have any fresh injury concerns having come through three games in a week following the international break.

For the visitors, Junior Firpo, Djed Spence and Wilfried Gnonto all remain sidelined, although striker Patrick Bamford is likely to make a return to the matchday squad.

THE MANAGERS

Russell Martin: "Whoever we were playing tomorrow, it’s an important game for us. It’s a good game, a really good game of football.

"We are three points off them, be a huge day for us if we win but we need to see a performance that looks more like us."

Daniel Farke: "I couldn't think of a worse time to play them. They're there with four losses. If you have such a period, you look under every stone and at every detail. They'll have done exactly this.

“We accept this challenge and we try to be ready and win points on the road.”

ONES TO WATCH

Adam Armstrong: The top scorer in the league, Saints will need their captain and number nine to be on form once again at St Mary’s.

After three games without a goal contribution, Armstrong was back on the scoresheet at Middlesbrough last weekend and will be looking for a fourth goal of the season at home.

Joël Piroe: A threat that Russell Martin will know all about from their time together at Swansea, summer signing Piroe has been quick off the mark at Elland Road.

With four goals in his first five games since arriving, Leeds will look to the Dutchman to lead the line on Saturday.
