Martin enthused by Dibling performances
Having scored on just his second Premier League start, Tyler Dibling left his manager excited by what’s still to come.
The 18-year-old has featured in every match so far this season and was on the score sheet after just five minutes against Ipswich.
Commenting on the teenager’s performances, Martin said: “I told him yesterday he was going to score his first Premier League goal and he told me it would be one of very many, so I love his mentality and I think it will be.
“We have to enjoy him, but also have to be really firm with him and demanding because there’s so much talent. And we also have to stick with him when he has a few sticky moments because it's never easy. It's never a straight line to being the best or maximising your potential.
“But he has an amazing mentality. And real incredible talent. And he has to keep doing what he’s doing because he’s become really reliable out of possession, it’s been an interesting journey over the last year in getting him to do certain things and really working that way one hundred percent.
"Now he’s at that place and needs to stay there and it’s our job to make him understand what it takes to stay there all the time and I’ve got no doubt he’ll keep improving and keep getting better.”
