Jayden Meghoma signs first professional contract
Southampton Football Club is delighted to announce that Jayden Meghoma has signed his first professional contract, keeping him at the club until 2025.
The 17-year-old left-back has committed his future to the club for a further two years after arriving from Tottenham Hotspur last season.
He enjoyed an impressive debut campaign at Saints with key contributions to the Under-18s' run to the FA Youth Cup semi-final as well as some positive displays in the latter stages of the PL2 season.
Meghoma spoke of his confident ambitions for the future after signing his contract and enjoying a call-up to the first team during pre-season.
"It's an amazing feeling to have been here a short time but to have made a big impact, last season playing with the Under-21s I really enjoyed it, especially being one of the younger players I feel like everyone welcomed me and I had to adapt to be a bit more mature.
"[In the next couple of years] I now want to try and be in and around the first team, hopefully, really just pushing myself to reach my goals."
