Changemakers funding boost through National Lottery
Saints Foundation project empowering young girls has received a funding boost through the National Lottery Community Fund.
Premier League Changemakers empowers, inspires, and develops leadership potential in girls aged 11-16, opening up pathways and boosting aspirations for the future. As the latest cohort is looking to celebrate with their end of term event in July, a funding boosted as been provided for future cohorts.
The National Lottery Community Fund has provided an additional £20,000 to the project over the next year, ensuring young women in Southampton can continue to gain the confidence to become sports leaders.
Skye-Loren West, Gender Equality Co-ordinator, said: “With every Changemakers cohort we see young girls continue to be empowered to make a difference. With this funding we can continue to inspire more leaders and see more girls reach their potential.”
The National Lottery Community fund join the Premier League Fans Fund in allowing Changemakers to happen and make a difference to the city of Southampton.
