Southampton Football Club is delighted to announce that Brandon Charles has signed his first professional contract, keeping him at the club until 2025.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder started his youth career at Brentford before joining Queens Park Rangers at 10-years-old; after six years at QPR he made the move to the South Coast in 2022 on a scholarship deal.

Charles endured a difficult season as he suffered a serious injury after a positive start to the campaign, but he has now signed professional terms with a return to full fitness on the horizon.

The youngster spoke highly of his time at Saints so far, as the club has backed his abilities with a new contract offer.

"Every boy dreams of making it pro so I'm very happy. Obviously, I started last season well but unfortunately picked up an injury and it's been a rollercoaster ever since, so it's nice that the club has faith in me."
