An Irish-born forward who was raised in Hornchurch and joined the Saints Academy from Leyton Orient.
‘Oba’ who boasts pace and agility is a traditional number nine who bases his game on former Brazilian striker Ronaldo. He was scouted by Saints while he was playing for Orient in April 2016.
Having made a big impression with the Under-18s side, he was brought into the first-team squad in January 2018 for the home Premier League game against Tottenham.
Obafemi was brought on in the 82nd minute of the game, for his senior debut, turning in an impressive display and helping the side to a 1-1 draw.
