Safety Steward

Matchdays (As and when required)

What is the role?

The purpose of the Safety Steward is to provide a first class service on matchdays and for non-matchday events as required, ensuring the safety of all spectators and staff.

The successful candidates will ensure that all supporters have a correct valid ticket before entering the stadium. A professional and friendly approach will need to followed when controlling and assisting spectator movement.

You will be required to carry out Ad-hoc duties requested by management and take direction from the Safety Officer, Senior Stewards and Operations team.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate who can provide quality in service delivery. We need a candidate who can work well in a team and ensure a professional attitude at all times.

Essential:

Must have experience of working to strict health and safety guidelines.
Will hold or is working towards an accredited steward qualification.
Have a polite, courteous and helpful manner.
Has proven experience of controlling vulnerable situations.
Have good customer service skills.
Be professional and pro-active.
Be smartly presented.
Be available on weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Desirable:

Experience working within the security sector.
Experience of responding to emergency situations.
First Aid training to a basic level.
Experience in dealing with conflict and confrontation.
