Youngster Rodriguez departs Saints
Southampton Football Club can confirm that it has agreed to terminate the contract of B team defender, Jeremi Rodriguez.
With his current contract set to expire in June 2023, both Jeremi and the club have agreed to a mutual termination that will see him depart immediately.
The 19-year-old Spaniard joined Saints in the summer of 2020 from native club Las Palmas, and signed his first professional deal in the December of that same year.
He spent time on loan back in his home country at Segunda División outfit Burgos CF during the 2021/22 season, but has only managed two appearances for the B team during the current campaign.
The club wishes Jeremi well in the next stage of his career.
