Tizzard joins Chippenham until January
Young Southampton defender Will Tizzard has joined Chippenham Town on loan until January 2023 subject to FA and National League approval.
The 19-year-old will head out for a first taste of senior football, linking up with the National League South outfit.
Named Saints’ Scholar of the Year in 2021, the central defender made 10 Premier League 2 appearances last season, helping Dave Horseman’s side to a strong finish in Division 2.
Gary Horgan’s side sit 20th after five games and will now look to climb the table with Tizzard’s addition.
The club wishes Will well and looks forward to monitoring his progress throughout the remainder of the year.
