Long joins Bournemouth on loan
Southampton Football Club can confirm striker Shane Long has completed a loan move to AFC Bournemouth for the remainder of the season.
The 34-year-old makes the switch to the Championship side on deadline day and will look to strengthen their push for an immediate return to the Premier League over the final months of the campaign.
Bournemouth currently sit in sixth position in the table, having picked up 42 points from 26 matches, with Jason Tindall’s side facing two big home games this week, as they host Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow and Birmingham on Saturday.
Everyone at Southampton would like to wish Shane well for the rest of the season at Vitality Stadium.
