Five festive fixture changes for Saints

By SFC Media Fri 12 Oct Fixture Changes

Four Southampton fixtures have been selected for television coverage during December, with a further change scheduled for Saints' early January meeting with Chelsea.

December games against Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham and Man City will all be aired live on either BT Sport or Sky Sports.

Mark Hughes’s men will still entertain Man United on Saturday 1st December, but at the later kick-off time of 5.30pm GMT, live on BT Sport.

A fortnight later, St Mary’s plays host to Arsenal, which has been moved from Saturday 15th to Sunday 16th December at 1.30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports.

Saints’ Boxing Day commitments have also been put back a day, as West Ham were previously due to visit on Wednesday 26th, but the tie will now take place on Thursday 27th December, 7.45pm GMT, also live on Sky Sports.

That change has a knock-on effect on the club’s following home clash with champions Man City, which also has a new date and kick-off time: Sunday 30th December, 2.15pm GMT, again live on Sky Sports.

The final change to the festive period will take place when Saints travel to Chelsea's Stamford Bridge, with the meeting now scheduled for Wednesday 2nd January 2019, 7.45pm GMT. This fixture will not be televised.
