Saints' Saturday Internationals

By SFC Media Sat 08 Sep International

It’s another busy day of international for Southampton’s players, with three involved in Saturday’s action.

First up, Steven Davis’s Northern Ireland kick-off their UEFA Nations League campaign against Bosnia-Herzegovina at Windsor Park in Group B3 (2pm BST).

The meeting in Belfast will be the first competitively between the two sides, with Bosnia installing Robert Prosinečki as their new manager in January of this year.

Later in the afternoon, Mario Lemina will face Burundi in Africa Cup of Nations 2019 qualifier in Group C at the Stade d'Angondjé in Libreville, Gabon (4pm BST).

Gabon will be hoping to get their first points on the board having lost 2-1 to Mali back in June 2017.

Finally, Alex McCarthy will be with England as they return to action at Wembley for the first time since reaching the semi-final of the World Cup in Russia.

They face Spain in a 7.45pm BST kick-off, who will be under the stewardship of Luis Enrique for the first time.

Fernando Hierro oversaw their World Cup campaign, which saw them knocked out by the hosts in the last 16.
