Portugal are expected to welcome back Cristiano Ronaldo for their final pre-World Cup warm-up tie against Algeria tonight (7.45pm BST), while Saints' Cédric is also likely to feature in manager Fernando Santos’s plans.

The friendly at Estádio da Luz, Lisbon, is the curtain-raiser to their opening group clash against European neighbours Spain on June 15th.

Since topping Group B of the European qualifying section, the Selecao have won two of their six friendlies and come off the back of a goalless draw with Belgium.

Algeria, however, won't feature at Russia after finishing bottom of Group B in the African qualifiers, and have lost their previous three friendly matches.
