It is the second day of a crunch week on the international scene, with four Saints players involved for their respective countries in the race to Russia 2018.

Already guaranteed a place in the World Cup finals, Maya Yoshida's Japan host New Zealand in a friendly at the Toyota Stadium this morning (11.20am BST).

Four Asian nations have already booked a place, with Iran, South Korea and Saudi Arabia all joining Japan on the bill of the 21st edition of the tournament next summer.

Dušan Tadić is also set for international action (7.45pm BST), as Serbia lead the way in Group D. They will secure automatic qualification with a victory away to Austria tonight, or have the buffer of a home tie with Georgia on Monday to gain the necessary points.

Striker Shane Long is set to play at the Aviva Stadium (7.45pm BST), where the Republic of Ireland can keep their play-off hopes alive by defeating Moldova, ahead of a big home game against Wales.

Manolo Gabbiadini also features in tonight's schedule, as Italy host FYR Macedonia at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino (7.45pm BST).

Italy will be favourites for the win, having already secured at least a play-off place, but trail Spain by three points heading into the final two qualifiers.
