Ryan Bertrand helped England to book their place at the World Cup finals, as a late Harry Kane goal sealed a 1-0 success over Slovenia at Wembley.

Bertrand played the full 90 minutes on what looked set to be a hugely frustrating evening, until stoppage time when in-form Kane met Kyle Walker's right-wing cross and turned the ball beyond Jan Oblak.

With that, Gareth Southgate's men maintained their unbeaten record in Group F and they now face a trip to Lithuania in their final match knowing qualification is secured.
