Mauricio Pellegrino praised the efforts of Southampton new boys Mario Lemina and Wesley Hoedt in the win at Crystal Palace.
Both turned in eye-catching displays in Saints' 1-0 victory at Selhurst Park, with Lemina imperious in midfield and Hoedt impressively assured at the back.
"When you bring players into the side you hope all the best for them," said Pellegrino after the game.
"If they are well the team will be well, and Mario, Wesley, the new players who came this summer, all of them will help us to be stronger as a team and today was a good performance from everybody."
Indeed, it was an ideal response for Pellegrino after the disappointment of last weekend's 2-0 home defeat against Watford.
"Every single game is an opportunity to grow and to learn from the last game," he said. "Also, we are knowing how my players can respond to different situations, because every single team has got different qualities and to be in front of them we have to adapt on every single situation."
