It’s the final day of international action for Southampton players, with five that could be involved for their respective nations.

Maya Yoshida is first up, as Japan take on Saudi Arabia in World Cup qualifying having already secured their place in the finals (6.30pm BST).

With that in mind, Coach Vahid Halilhodzic could field a more experimental side at Al-Ahli Saudi FC’S stadium.

Elsewhere, Mario Lemina and Gabon go up against Ivory Coast in Bouake after their reverse meeting just three days ago.

Lemina played the full 90 minutes in the 3-0 defeat, which left Gabon in third place in the group on two points.

Later in the evening, Shane Long and Dušan Tadić are likely to go head-to-head in a crucial clash as Republic of Ireland meet table-topping Serbia in Group D (7.45pm BST).

Ireland go into the game after a 1-1 draw away at Georgia, with Serbia moving clear after their 3-0 success over Moldova.

Martin O’Neill’s men are just two points adrift of Serbia, but only two in front of Wales after Ben Woodburn’s strike proved enough for them to beat Austria in Cardiff.

Finally, Manolo Gabbiadini’s Italy take on Israel in their latest qualifier (7.45pm BST), as they hope to respond to their 3-0 defeat to Spain.

The Azzurri sit in second place behind Spain on 16 points, with Albania four points behind them in third.
