Saints to play Saint-Étienne friendly

Southampton will face Saint-Étienne in a pre-season friendly later this month, as part of the team’s training camp in France.

Saints will take on the Ligue 1 club on Saturday 29th July, at the Stade Municipal de Chambéry, with kick-off set for 5.30pm BST.

The game will come at the end of the team’s trip to France, where they will be based in Évian.

Mauricio Pellegrino and his team will depart for the training camp on Monday 24th July, two days after the pre-season friendly at Brentford, before returning to Southampton after the clash with Saint-Étienne.

It will be the second trip of the summer, with Saints currently away in Austria for their first camp of pre-season.

News on further domestic friendly matches will follow at a later date.
