Cédric helps Portugal to third

Southampton defender Cédric finished his Confederations Cup campaign with Portugal in third.

Fernando Santos's team beat Mexico 2-1 after extra-time to win the third-place match in Moscow, as Pepe's last minute equaliser was followed by a successful spot kick from substitute Adrien Silva in the additional period.

Cédric was an unused substitute for the game, as he was given a rest following a significant involvement in the tournament.

He will return to Southampton for pre-season training later in the summer.
