Auctioned shirts raise over £5k for Scope

Thanks to the generous support of Southampton fans and Virgin Media, auctioned shirts from the Manchester United game raised £5,585.85 for Scope.

Virgin Media donated their match shirt sponsorship to the disability charity, before the 27 worn and unworn shirts were then auctioned by Saints Foundation on behalf of Virgin Media, with 100% of the profits being donated to Scope.

The largest price for an individual item was Manolo Gabbiadini’s match-worn shirt, which went for an impressive total of £515.

Virgin Media also put on further fundraising on the day of the game and subsequently raised £1,091.67 from bucket collections and donated £25k from the half-time penalty shoot-out competition.

All of the money raised will help Scope continue to support disabled people and their families, as well promoting equality and raising awareness of key issues.
