Cédric played 71 minutes for Portugal as they recorded a 3-0 victory over Latvia in World Cup qualifying.

It took the visitors 41 minutes to break the deadlock, when Cristiano Ronaldo headed home from close range.

And Ronaldo doubled the advantage just after the hour mark with another headed effort, before teeing up Andre Gomes for a decisive third.

The full-back was replaced by Benfica's Nélson Semedo with 19 minutes left on the clock, as Portugal made it five wins from their six games.

Fernando Santos' men remain in second place in the group behind Switzerland, who won 2-0 in the Faroe Islands.
