Claude Puel was pleased with his side’s second-half display against Manchester United in the 0-0 draw.
Saints created the better openings but had to settle for a share of the spoils in their penultimate Premier League clash at St Mary’s.
“I think two things, in the first-half there was not enough on the play. I don’t know if the penalty miss made my players nervous,” Puel reflected.
“We came back in the second-half with good intensity, good rhythm and good quality. I was happy about our play.
“We had a number of situations where we need to score and I felt we deserved the three points but their goalkeeper made some fantastic saves.”
