Claude Puel wants to see his Southampton players make the most of their final four Premier League fixtures.
Saints face the challenge of playing four fixtures during the closing eleven days of the season, though Puel is keen to view the busy schedule in a positive light.
"It's a good thing to play, because the players always prefer to play than to take part in training sessions,” he explained.
“But it's important to see the good recovery of the players, because after this we also play against Middlesbrough away and then the next Wednesday against United and on the last day against Stoke.
“It's a difficult schedule, but I think interesting at the end of the season. We have had a lot of games, and that's a good thing for the squad.”
Arsenal are the most immediate challenge for Puel’s men, as they visit St Mary’s tomorrow night.
Saints could move up to 8th in the table with a win over the Gunners, though Puel is more focussed on seeing a good display from his side.
"We will see about this,” he continued.
“Before thinking about the three points it's important to think about our play and what we have to do on the pitch. That is the most important thing. It's important to find the good play and the good relationship in our play.
“We will see also how we recover after this game against Liverpool, because it was a difficult game, with a lot of running and a lot of energy, and we will see how we recover.”
