Højbjerg visits Foundation's disability programme

By SFC Media Sat 15 Apr Saints Foundation

Participants at one of Saints Foundation’s disability boxing sessions were treated to a surprise visit from Saints star Pierre-Emile Højbjerg recently.

The midfielder dropped in on the session at Poseidon Boxing Club and quickly got stuck into the action, joining in with a variety of different drills and exercises at the free, open access session.

Along with open access sessions, Saints Foundation also offer opportunities to play regular football through their Hampshire Pan Disability Football League, which is the first official league of its kind in Hampshire, bringing more than 250 people together once a month to play in a structured and competitive environment.

Should players wish to progress further, they also provide an Advanced Coaching Centre for those with Cerebral Palsy, visual or hearing impairments, which can create opportunities for progression onto the National pathway.

Saints Foundation’s disability programmes are funded by the Premier League and BT Disability Fund, helping them to create more opportunities for those with both physical and cognitive needs across Hampshire.
