Five Saints players could feature for their respective nations in World Cup qualifying and international friendlies.

First up, Maya Yoshida is likely to be involved when Japan host Thailand in their latest World Cup qualifying clash (11.35am)

Yoshida captained the Blue Samurai in their last outing, when they secured a vital 2-0 win over the United Arab Emirates to leave them joint top in Group B.

Josh Sims could also play for England Under-20s as they face Senegal in the final game of their mini-tournament in France (2.30pm).

Elsewhere, Sofiane Boufal’s Morocco face Tunisia in a friendly. Boufal came on from the bench in the 2-0 win over Burkina Faso (7pm).

It’s also friendly action for Cédric as Portugal take on Sweden at Estádio dos Barreiros (7.45pm).

Shane Long will also hope to be involved as Republic of Ireland host Iceland in a friendly at the Aviva Stadium (7.45pm).
