Boufal comes on in Morocco win

Sofiane Boufal came off the bench to play a part in Morocco’s 2-0 friendly win at home to Burkina Faso.

The Saints playmaker, who was back with his country after missing the Africa Cup of Nations through injury, started among the substitutes in Marrakesh.

Coach Hervé Renard introduced him in the 52nd minute, with the score at 1-0, after Fayçal Fajr’s first-half opener.

Morocco’s second arrived 12 minutes after Boufal entered the action, as Aziz Bouhaddouz fired in from an angle.

The Atlas Lions now welcome Tunisia for another friendly on Monday.
