Late England Under-20s call for Sims

Josh Sims has received a call-up to join England Under-20s for their tournament in France.

The Southampton youngster was originally on standby for the Three Lions squad, but has now been called up following an injury to Charlton’s Erzi Konsa Ngoyo.

Sims will link up with the team ahead of a busy seven-day period in France, during which they will play three games against Portugal (23rd March), France (25th March) and Senegal (28th March).

The mini-tournament will allow coach Paul Simpson time to prepare and pick his squad ahead of the summer’s FIFA Under-20 World Cup in South Korea.
