International action begins for Saints stars

A busy week of international action for Southampton’s players kicks off tonight, with up to five of them in action.

England visit Germany this evening for a friendly match (7.45pm GMT), with four Saints stars in the Three Lions squad.

Regulars Fraser Forster and Ryan Bertrand are joined by new boys James Ward-Prowse and Nathan Redmond, who will both be hoping for their senior debuts, ahead of Sunday’s home World Cup qualifier against Lithuania.

They are not the only players who could see action for their country tonight, though.

Elsewhere, defender Cuco Martina has linked up with the Curaçao team for their friendly match at home to El Salvador (Midnight GMT).

The game forms an important part of the country’s preparations for this summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup, with Martina set to skipper his nation tonight.
