Yoshida in latest Japan squad

Maya Yoshida has been selected in the Japan squad for their World Cup qualifying matches against UAE and Thailand this month.

The Samurai Blue currently lie second in their group, at the midway point, with the top two teams advancing to the 2018 finals, in Russia.

They can take a major step towards securing their place with a pair of wins, as they visit UAE on Thursday 23rd March, before hosting Thailand on Tuesday 28th March.

Yoshida will link up with his fellow countrymen after Sunday’s Premier League visit to Tottenham Hotspur.
