James Ward-Prowse believes it is a special group of players that have helped Southampton reach the EFL Cup final.
Saints head to Wembley Stadium next Sunday to face Manchester United, in what is the culmination of an incredible run in the competition.
Claude Puel’s side have knocked out Premier League opposition in every round, seeing off Crystal Palace, Sunderland, Arsenal and Liverpool, and have done so without conceding a goal.
"It's very special,” said Ward-Prowse of being part of the current squad. “We've got a winning mentality throughout the dressing room.
“We've got an experienced dressing room mixed with a lot of youth as well, so I think there's a real good blend there.
“The squad's been through a lot this season, with the ups and downs and the amount of games we've played.

“I think it's credit to us that we are where we are. We need to make sure we go out there, have no regrets and give it our all.
"It's going to be an exciting day, and when you look back to the Liverpool game away, I think the whole build-up to it was incredibly exciting and you could see the scenes after the game, how much it meant to us, and we've been talking for a very long time now about getting to a final and we don't want to come away empty handed.
"There will be an element of nerves, and that's completely normal, but also an element of excitement.
“We all want to play at this top level, we all want to play against the best teams at Wembley. It's a great chance for us to showcase what we can do.
“We've had a tough run in the competition, we've got a very proud record of not conceding a goal throughout and we want to take that into the final and use that momentum of the cup run to propel us through the rest of the season as well.”
