Radhi Jaïdi has warned his players of the threat Swansea City will pose in Monday night’s Premier League Cup encounter.

The Swans, who top the Premier League 2 Division 2 table, will travel to Staplewood for the tie, having suffered defeat in the reverse fixture.

“We played Swansea before and won 1-0,” started Jaïdi.

“But we know they will be a physical side - we are also expecting some clever movement from the midfielders who are quality and technical players.

“They are a team that are leading their league, so they will confident and used to winning. It will be a different but difficult challenge for our boys.”

Saints currently lead their Premier League Cup group, and Jaïdi is aware of the impact a victory over Swansea would have on his side’s chances to progress.

“We are top of this group with three games to go,” he continued.

“So starting Monday we want to take it step by step, pass this game and win it and then look forward to the final two.

“It’s an important competition for our younger boys and provides more good experience, so why not go as far as we possibly can.”
