Dušan Tadić is hoping that Southampton can use the momentum from the victory over Sunderland in the EFL Cup final at Wembley.
Saints now have two weeks to prepare for the clash against Manchester United, after the 4-0 success at the Stadium of Light as they bid to win their first major trophy since 1976 against the same opponents.
And having reached the final with the distinction of doing so without conceding a single goal en route, Tadić is hoping for another memorable occasion for the supporters.
“It’s very important for us and I hope we will make our fans happy. We have time to prepare for the final now,” Tadić said.
“We were talking before today that this game against Sunderland was our final and we showed that we are very sharp.
“That’s it, now we have time to prepare for Wembley and we will see what happens.”
