Claude Puel described Dušan Tadić's performance at Sunderland as the playmaker's best of the season.
Tadić, who was operating in the number ten role, was a constant threat at the Stadium of Light, grabbing one assist, as Saints demolished the Black Cats 4-0.
Puel was delighted with the efforts of the Serbia international, believing it was his finest display of the campaign so far.
"It was a good performance," he said. "I think it was his best game since the beginning of the season.
"I think right or left, he didn't give all this possibility, because with the line he stopped the ball without taking the space. I prefer when he can turn and give good assists – good acceleration and good penetration also.
"It's important he can repeat this performance, because all this gives quality to the squad."
