Southampton’s Regional Talent Club will have five players out on England duty in February.

Sophia Pharoah, who plays for Southampton Under-16s, has been selected for England Under-17s’ training camp later this month, where the Lionesses will play games against USA and Norway.

Phoebe Williams will represent England Under-16s in the UEFA Development Tournament between the 10-17th of February, whilst fellow Under-16s player Kayla Rendall is also on standby for the competition in Loughborough.

Elsewhere, Mia Cruickshank, Ella Morris and Alisha Ware have all been called up for England Under-15s’ three-day training camp and match at St George’s Park, starting on February 20th.

Since its inception at the start of the season, the Regional Talent Club has enjoyed great success, with ten players receiving international recognition from England, Ireland and Wales.

“It is great to see the potential in the girls beginning to turn into excellence, both on and off the pitch,” commented Martina Heath, Head of Women’s and Girls’ Football.

“The continual hard work and dedication that both the players and their families put in to growing and striving towards being the best is admirable, and they are all now prospering from this.”
