Togetherness is key here, says Redmond

Nathan Redmond says togetherness will be key as Southampton look to embark on another strong cup run, starting with victory at Norwich City.

Saints have already booked their place in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup this season, where they will face Liverpool.

And as they look to get back to winning ways at Carrow Road, Redmond feels it can prove a catalyst to build momentum should they prevail.

“We’ve gone on a strong run in the League Cup getting to the semi-finals and we’ll try to put our all into this one as well,” says Redmond.

“They’ll be up in full spirits but we’ve got to hit the ground running and there’s no better place to start getting wins by getting one in the cup.”

He added: “We’ve got to get a win and then hopefully we can transfer that into the league, but this is the game we’re focusing on now.

“It happens in every team where you get good spells and bad spells, with good form and bad bits of form from players.

“We’re all in it together. The most important thing is about the lads in the dressing room sticking together.”
