Nathan Redmond says that cup progression is his only focus as he returns to former charges Norwich City for the first time in the Emirates FA Cup third round.

The forward made 122 appearances, scoring 13 times across a three-year spell with the Canaries, before a move to St Mary’s in the summer.

But while his reflects on his time with Alex Neil’s men with fondness, Redmond is determined to help Saints return to winning ways at Carrow Road.

He said: “It should be good going back there and seeing some old faces and some old teammates but we’ve got a game to focus on and we’re preparing for that.

“I didn’t see the draw straight away, I got a few texts from a few people back in Norwich and a few friends as well asking if I was looking forward to going back.

“It will be a nice atmosphere, especially for myself going back to Carrow Road, so I’m looking forward to it.”
