Southampton’s Sofiane Boufal has been confirmed in Morocco’s finalised squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Boufal had recently been named in his country's provisional group, but has now been included in the official 23-man list for the tournament, which begins later this month, in Gabon.

This year’s edition is set to run from January 14th to February 5th, with Morocco’s first game scheduled for January 16th, against DR Congo.

Hervé Renard’s side then face Togo four days later, before concluding their group stage campaign against reigning champions Ivory Coast on 24th January.

Boufal is heading off to join his international teammates following Southampton’s game against Everton on Monday.
