Boufal in preliminary Morocco squad

Sofiane Boufal has been included in Morocco’s preliminary list of 26 players for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Saints player is among those selected by coach Hervé Renard, ahead of the tournament, which is due to run from 14th January to 5th February, in Gabon.

Renard will name a final list of 23 players nearer the beginning of the competition.

Morocco are scheduled to play DR Congo in their opening group match, on 16th January, before facing Togo four days later and then reigning champions Ivory Coast on 24th January.
