James Ward-Prowse says Southampton must stand up to a tough test in order to come away with three points against AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Saints were frustrated by ten-man Stoke City in midweek and head into a South Coast derby hoping to return to make it seven points from nine.
Opponents Bournemouth will be buoyed by their home victory over reigning champions Leicester City.
“It’s a battle of styles and Bournemouth are going to try and use the home advantage to make it a hostile atmosphere for us,” said Ward-Prowse.
“We all know what this game is about and we’ve got a few of the lads who have been here a long time now and know the rivalry between the two clubs.
“It’s going to be a tough test but it’s one we’ll have to stand up to and fight for.
“They’re in a good run of form at the minute and we’ve been looking to pick up a few good results.”
