Ward-Prowse: Let's round off a good week

By SFC Media Sat 17 Dec Bournemouth vs Saints

James Ward-Prowse is hoping to end the week on a positive note, and make it seven points from a possible nine.

Looking ahead to Bournemouth, Ward-Prowse insists the squad is relishing an exciting festive period that should not phase a Saints side who have already played 25 games.

Claude Puel’s men are currently on the same points tally as at the same stage in the Premier League last season as they look to build momentum with victory over the Cherries.

“We want to win every game. It was unfortunate that we couldn’t get the result the other night but we learn from that, de-brief it with the manager and go again,” said Ward-Prowse.

“It’s an exciting time for everyone. If you don’t pick up the result in the week, you’ve got a chance in a couple of days to put it right.

“It’s going to be a great atmosphere on Sunday, a great game and one I think we can go and win.

“It’s going to be a tasty affair. It’s a South Coast derby for us as well so we’ll be looking to make sure that we perform well and hopefully get the win.”
