Southampton winger Dušan Tadić has been named Serbian Footballer of the Year for 2016.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a fine year with his national side and his performances have helped them to reach second place in their World Cup qualifying group.
Five goals and five assists in seven matches for Serbia saw Tadić pick up the award, which in recent years has been dominated by Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanović and Nemanja Matić.
Tadić suffered a broken nose in a 1-1 draw with Wales during his most recent game for Serbia, and has since found himself sidelined for Saints.
The playmaker has made 12 starts for Claude Puel’s side so far this term, as well a substitute appearance from the bench in the most recent outing against Stoke City.
