A 21-man travelling party has made the trip to Prague for Southampton’s upcoming UEFA Europa League clash with AC Sparta Praha.
Claude Puel has included 21 players in his squad to travel to the Czech Republic, with the likes of Charlie Austin, Ryan Bertrand and Steven Davis all making the trip.
Captain José Fonte has not travelled, while Matt Targett, Harrison Reed and Dušan Tadić will also be remaining in England.
James Ward-Prowse, who missed out against Liverpool at the weekend through injury, has recovered in time to travel out to Prague with the rest of the squad.
Young winger Josh Sims, who scored in Southampton Under-23s’ narrow defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League 2 on Monday afternoon, has made the trip, along with fellow Academy graduates Jack Stephens, Sam McQueen and Ward-Prowse.
Saints know a win in Prague, coupled with Hapoel Be’er Sheva failing to beat Internazionale in the other Group K clash, will assure them of qualification to the knockout stages with a game still to play.
