José Fonte is missing from Southampton’s UEFA Europa League trip to Sparta Praha with a foot injury, while Dušan Tadić has also not recovered in time for the match.
Saints captain Fonte hurt himself making a last-ditch tackle on Philippe Coutinho during last Saturday’s 0-0 draw at home to Liverpool, while Tadić remains sidelined following the broken nose he sustained on international duty.
Manager Claude Puel said: "José Fonte has a pain in his foot when he made the tackle against Liverpool and he cannot play tomorrow and also Dušan with the problem of his nose.
"I don’t know if for the next game against Everton he can play. We will see this.”
Puel also had a doubt over Sofiane Boufal this week, but he has recovered from illness enough to make the trip to Czech Republic.
"Sofiane this week was sick and he came back just this morning,” said Puel.
"He travelled with us and we’ve got to see if he can participate in this game. We have to be patient with him, because he came back after five or six months out.
"He comes back step by step and he started the training sessions only one month ago and this is difficult.
"It’s important step by step that he comes back with game time and perhaps sometimes he can start and other times he can play 15 or 20 minutes.
"For the future I think he is an important player and we will see all his quality in a few weeks."
