Pierre-Emile Højbjerg was delighted to get another start in the Premier League, as he helped Southampton to a 0-0 draw with Liverpool.
The midfielder was named in Claude Puel's line-up for the clash at St Mary's, starting a top-flight game for the first time since the goalless stalemate with Leicester in early October.
Højbjerg said the game was a fantastic experience to be a part of, and one he thinks he will learn a lot from.
"I can just say that to get the opportunity in games like this, with a high intensity and a high level, it is something for the future that is very, very good and you can learn a lot from," he said.
"But, in the end, it's about the team. I would like to play every game, I would also like to play every Premier League game, but the coach decides and I believe that the coach has a plan for everything and I just tried to do my best, because this is what it's about.
"Every day do your best and I hope I can play more games like this, on a high level, and hopefully also in the Premier League."
