Three Saints set for Sunday international action

Virgil van Dijk and Jordy Clasie could both be involved for the Netherlands again as they take on Luxembourg in World Cup qualifying.

van Dijk completed the full 90 minutes during the 1-1 draw in the international friendly against Belgium on Wednesday and impressed again, making the joint-most tackles and interceptions and the most clearances of any Dutch player.

Clasie also featured in that game, coming on as a 15th-minute substitute to replace SC Heerenveen’s Stijn Schaars.

Netherlands currently sit third in Group A of FIFA World Cup qualifying and will hope to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat to France last time out.

Elsewhere, José Fonte is in the Portugal squad for their World Cup qualifier against Latvia in Faro.

Portugal are currently second in their group after two wins and a defeat, with Latvia their last game of the calendar year.
