Van Dijk and Clasie feature for Holland

By SFC Media Wed 09 Nov International

Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk played the full 90 minutes for the Netherlands, as they drew 1-1 with Belgium in an international friendly.

Jordy Clasie also featured for the Dutch national side, coming on as a 15th-minute substitute in the draw with Roberto Martinez’s Belgium.

The opening goal of the game arrived in the 38th minute, as Davy Klaassen netted from the penalty spot.

It looked as though Holland would hold on to their first-half lead for an impressive friendly victory, but Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco’s goal in the 82nd minute saw Belgium draw themselves level late on.

The game ended in a draw, with the Netherlands now set to take on Luxembourg in World Cup qualifying on Sunday.
