Forster and Bertrand get England call

Southampton pair Fraser Forster and Ryan Bertrand have been named in the latest England squad ahead of their game against Scotland next week.

The Three Lions continue their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying group with a match against the Scots on Friday at Wembley Stadium, before a friendly against Spain on Tuesday 15th November (8pm GMT). 

Forster and Bertrand are both named in the initial squad for the game as the hosts will look to extend their lead at the top of Group F.

England have taken seven points from their opening three matches, most recently playing out a goalless draw with Slovenia in Ljubliana where Forster was on the bench.

The Saints stopper has six senior England appearances to his name, while Bertrand has ten senior caps and they will hope to build on that in the game against Scotland which gets under way at 7.45pm GMT.
